I just came across this video on twitter which demos a cool software called PhotoTranslator for the Nokia N900, which allows you to translate text from images. Pretty useful if you’re travelling and can’t read those signboards. You can translate from images stored on your phone or even take a photo using the camera and get the application to translate the text in the image. I tried hunting around for the installable for the N900, but didn’t find it yet. This may be a pre-release video shown here.
